Nikon PictureProject software 3 new plugins for Digital CamerasNikon announced the introduction of three optional Plug-ins for expanded functionality. Nikon’s exclusive PictureProject software is bundled with every Nikon digital camera and Nikon Capture software is purchased separately. PictureProject COOLPIX Remote Control Plug-in enables users to operate the COOLPIX 8400 and COOLPIX 8800 cameras remotely from a computer. The nik Color Efex Pro 2.0 Express Edition, compatible with Nikon’s PictureProject and Capture software provides users a host of highly creative visual effects. PictureProject DVD Show allows automatic creation of advanced videos made from still images and movie clips that are combined with music and special effects, then saved on a recordable CD or DVD.PictureProject COOLPIX Remote Control Remote camera control, a function also incorporated in Nikon Capture 4 software to remotely control the popular D70 and other Nikon digital SLR models, has earned wide acclaim among professionals for its advanced and convenient remote control operation. PictureProject COOLPIX Remote Control has been developed to offer a similar solution for the COOLPIX 8400 and 8800; remote camera operation can enable changing camera settings via computer, particularly useful when you can’t access the camera’s controls or if the camera is in an inaccessible remote location. PictureProject DVD Show*1 PictureProject DVD Show is a plug-in that makes slide show creation and playback more fun by automating the process of editing movie clips and still images, and you can add special effects and music to create advanced-looking video shows that can be saved on DVD video format or Video CD format for sharing with friends, family or clients. Even difficult operations can be performed at the click of a single button, with the selection of twenty-four different styles automatically handling the necessary editing. The software even automatically recognizes human figures in the pictures or movie clips to distinguish relevant contents to create a new sequence of images in a selected style. Transition of images is also automatically timed to synchronize with the rhythm of the selected music track.
